The customer needed to create a large-sized grille that required the use of large-diameter metal wire to ensure its strength and durability.
Problem
Due to the diameter of the wire used, it may happen that the current is discharged directly onto the sheet metal mask, making it difficult to extract the piece from the mask itself.
Solution

The Additive 3D department‘s technical office solved the problem in an innovative and effective way, printing inserts that, positioned inside the sheet metal masks, at the exact point where the wire rests, completely isolate the components from the rest of the metal equipment.
Production took just a few hours thanks to 3D printing in aluminum-filled Nylon 12, a durable material that insulates against electrical conduction.
The result was achieved by using entirely internal resources while ensuring maximum cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
