Hook for glasses display

The client needed a hook to display eyeglasses for his optical shop.
The hook would serve to equip the display wall with fixed, interlocking supports, well-stable and anchored to ensure long-lasting durability.

Problem

The challenge was to create a piece that was elegant yet unobtrusive, so as not to distract attention from the glasses. The entire process had to be accomplished using specially designed equipment to allow for precise positioning of the pin during welding, while optimizing production times.
At the same time, the perpendicular welding of the temples had to respect the balance of the exposed glasses.

Solution

Bonpez created special equipment to facilitate and speed up the operator’s welding of the pin and also created a control jig, using a 3D printer, where the finished pieces can be placed to verify that the item is properly welded.
